We've all heard the nursery rhyme Simple Simon where an English country boy performs a series of nonsensical antics that ultimately leave him crying and empty handed. At Simplex Creative we have a different idea about simplicity.

To graphic designers like us simplicity equals powerful, memorable, artwork. To illustrate this reality (that the most simple designs are the ones that are most clearly etched into our memories) a friend of mine often sites the famous golden arches logo of McDonald's. Now contrast that with a more complex design and see if you can envision it in your mind's eye. What does the seal of your locale police force look like? Having a hard time remembering it?

So there you have it– simple designs, generally speaking, are the most memorable.
